Delete Account & Data
This page explains how users of the Pollzy mobile application operated by Social Spaces LLC can request deletion of their account and associated data.
Users can request deletion either inside the app or outside the app using the contact method below.
Include the email address tied to your Pollzy account and state whether you want to delete your entire account or only specific data/content.
1. Delete Your Pollzy Account in the App
- Open the Pollzy app.
- Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
- Follow the confirmation prompts to permanently delete your account.
2. Delete Your Pollzy Account Outside the App
If you cannot access the app or prefer a web-based request path, email hello@pollzy.app with the subject line Pollzy Account Deletion Request.
To help us verify the request, include:
- the email address associated with your Pollzy account
- your Pollzy username, if available
- a statement that you want your account deleted
3. Request Deletion of Specific Data Without Deleting Your Account
You may also request deletion of specific content or data without deleting your entire account by emailing hello@pollzy.app.
Examples include requests to delete:
- specific polls
- comments
- profile photo or profile details
- other user-submitted content tied to your account
4. What Is Deleted When You Delete Your Account
When an account deletion request is completed, Pollzy deletes personal data from active systems associated with that account, which may include:
- account profile information, such as email address, username, display name, birth date, and profile photo
- polls created by the account
- votes, follows, vibe checks, and related profile relationship data tied to the account
- comments and other user-generated content associated with the account where supported by our deletion workflow
- authentication record used to sign in to Pollzy
5. What May Be Retained
Some limited information may be retained for a longer period when necessary for legal, security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, audit, or backup purposes.
- security and operational logs
- backup copies that expire on a rolling basis
- records needed to comply with legal obligations or enforce platform safety rules
- moderation or abuse-prevention records where retention is reasonably necessary
6. Processing Timeline
We aim to process account and data deletion requests as quickly as practical. Most requests are completed within 30 days, although some data may remain in backups or security systems for a limited additional period.
