This policy explains what information Pollzy collects, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Pollzy mobile application (the "Application") operated by Social Spaces LLC ("Pollzy", "we", "us", "our").

This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account information: email address, username, display name, password credentials (handled by Firebase Authentication), birth date, and optional profile photo.
  • User content: polls, poll images, comments, votes, shares, follows, vibe checks, reports, and bug reports.
  • Settings and preferences: notification settings and app preferences.
  • Communications: information you send to us at hello@pollzy.app.

Information we collect automatically

  • Device and app data: device model, OS version, app version, language, region, and technical diagnostics.
  • Push notification data: device push token(s), notification preferences, and badge counts.
  • Presence and activity status: online/offline state and last-seen timestamp.
  • Advertising data: ad request/response and reward events through AdMob.
  • Network and localization context used in bug reports (for example locale and connection type).

2. How We Use Information

  • Create and maintain accounts.
  • Provide social features (poll creation, voting, comments, follows, notifications, vibe checks).
  • Moderate content and enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines.
  • Operate and improve app reliability and performance.
  • Deliver push notifications you enable.
  • Deliver and measure ads, including rewarded ads.
  • Review and resolve bug reports and support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the safety of users and the platform.

3. Location Data

Pollzy does not collect precise GPS location.

Pollzy may process approximate location signals from platform services (for example IP-derived region) for security, anti-abuse, analytics, and ad operations.

4. Public and Social Content

Polls, comments, profile information, and other social activity may be visible to other users as part of the core product.

Content shared publicly may be copied, re-shared, or captured by others. Deleting content from Pollzy does not control copies saved by third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

Pollzy uses third-party providers that process data on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own policies:

When you submit a bug report in-app, report metadata and attachments may be sent to our GitHub issue workflow for engineering triage.

6. Sharing of Information

  • With service providers listed above to run the app.
  • With moderators/admins for safety, abuse prevention, and policy enforcement.
  • With law enforcement or regulators when legally required.
  • To protect rights, property, or safety of Pollzy, users, or the public.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer (with appropriate notice where required).

We do not sell personal information for money.

7. Retention

We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy.

  • Account profile and social graph: while your account is active.
  • Push notification records: generally up to about 90 days.
  • User-requested deleted polls/comments: may remain hidden and queued before purge (for example around 30 days).
  • Moderation-removed content: may be retained longer for safety/audit workflows (for example up to around 90 days).
  • Account deletion requests: we process deletion and remove personal data from active systems as quickly as practical, generally within 30 days, subject to legal/security exceptions.

Backups and security logs may persist for a limited additional period.

8. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access and update profile data in-app.
  • Disable push notifications in app settings and/or device settings.
  • Control ad personalization in device settings.
  • Delete your account in-app (Settings > Account > Delete Account) or contact us.
  • Request data help at hello@pollzy.app.

If local law gives you additional rights (for example access, deletion, correction, or objection), contact us and we will handle requests as required by applicable law.

9. Children

Pollzy is intended for users 16 years and older.

Users under 16 are not eligible to create an account. If you believe a child under 16 has provided personal data, contact hello@pollzy.app and we will investigate and delete information where appropriate.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. International Transfers

Pollzy infrastructure is hosted primarily on Google Cloud/Firebase. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the "Last updated" date.
